Built during 1809-1810, Jaywick Martello Tower was built to defend the coastline from invasion by Napoleon Bonaparte’s forces.
In 2005 the Tower was opened as an arts and heritage venue with a special focus upon the local area and community.
Various exhibitions and events are held at the Tower over the course of the year. Since 2011, the Tower has been approved as a venue for holding Civil Marriages, Civil Partnerships, and other Civil Ceremonies.
There are three rooms available, choose from the intimate sun room with stunning panoramic coastal views to the garrison room holding up to 60 guests. Its distinctive architecture, historical resonance, and coastal location makes it an unforgettable venue for your wedding.
